How long will my child be hospitalized?
Our average length of stay is 7-14 days.
What is the cost of an assessment?
We offer no cost screenings that can be set up by appointments, walk-ins are welcomed.
If my child enters your program, will he or she be able to keep up with their school work during treatment?
We have school liaisons that help to ensure that your child stays on track with school work. These liaisons work with your child’s school to receive school work due to their absence and maintain a close relationship to ensure that homework assignments are returned to your child’s school. This helps to reduce the stress to your child associated with make- up work when they return to school.
What type of insurance do you require?
Harsha Behavioral Center accepts most payment sources, including Indiana Medicaid, Illinois Public Aid, public pay and self pay.
Does someone have to refer my child in order to be hospitalized?
Harsha Behavioral Center receives referrals from physicians, psychiatrists, children and adolescent services, and other mental health and behavioral centers throughout Indiana and Illinois. Parent referrals and walk-ins are always welcome
As a parent, what kind of involvement do I have with my child’s treatment?
Family therapy sessions are scheduled within 72 hours of admission. Participation in these sessions is essential to the success of our patients. It is important to see how our patients and their families interact and family input is a critical part of our on-going assessment process.
Discharge planning begins at admission. Our therapists will work closely with the family to help establish your loved one’s aftercare treatment which consists of both a physician and a therapist to help keep your loved one on the healthy track.
